In this game, you take on the role of a medieval monk tasked with the job of increasing the prestige of your scriptorium. At the beginning of the game, all of the sought after resources are equally valued, but as the game progresses, some items become more prized than others. You must be able to acquire those that are more valuable, let go of those that are less so, and sometimes use your gold to manipulate the values of the resources.

Draft and Auction:  The game is played in two stages. In the first half of the game, players draft cards using a fun "push your luck" system, where you draw cards, one at a time, and must decide whether to keep the card or give it to other players. However, you must decide after looking at each drawn card, so you're not sure if the next card will be better or worse. The second half of the game consists of a series of auctions, in which players use their cards acquired in the first stage to try to win more valuable cards in the second stage.

Mechanics include auction/bidding, card drafting, hand management, press your luck, and set collection.
